I have been involved in the martial arts world for 21 years now. Seeing as I'm 29, that literally has almost been for my entire lifetime. Often, people ask me why it is that I train the way I do, as intensely and as passionately as I do. It's because of people I love, my family, my mom, my friends, my country, heck, my city and co-workers.... maybe even ex-girlfriends. Maybe. But the real thing I train for out of any possible terrorist attacks, assaults or anything like that... is the all possible struggle of having to fight oneself... and sometimes I wonder if I had to face myself, could I win or would it be my alter-ego. I always hoped I would never have to know... but it looks like we don't always get what we hope for.
